We look for strength, versatility, range of motion for dog, ease of use for handler, and color selection. It’s nice to have a huge range of color choices, and the option to clip the leash at the dog’s chest, back, or both. Of course you’ll need to be able to put it on your dog without tying yourself in knots, and your dog should have full range of motion to protect against repetitive stress shoulder injuries. And none of that would matter if the harness wasn’t strong enough to contain your dog. These harnesses check the boxes! When possible we’ve provided the company website, but we encourage shopping around as prices vary and fluctuate.
